CREATING A LIFE LONG

LOVE OF MUSIC

PHILOSOPHY

The primary goal is to develop the musical potential of each student by offering a well planned course of instruction that includes a variety of repertoire, progressive technique and music theory. The hope is to help create a love of music in my students that will last a lifetime.

THE STUDIO

Lessons are offered to students of all ages.  Programs are individually planned to meet the specific needs and goals of each student.  Lessons are given in my Ballwin, MO home on a Yamaha CX2 Grand Piano and on a Yamaha CVP 609 Clavinova.  Lessons can also be arranged to be conducted  on FaceTime or Zoom.

THE TEACHER

With nearly 40 years of experience, Christy Hacay is a passionate piano teacher who loves sharing her love for music with others. She feels blessed to be able to do so and is a member of several professional teacher groups, such as SLAMTA, PTRT, MFMC, and more, where she strives to enhance her teaching skills.

The studio offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year, including the Fall Ensemble Recital, Spring Recital and Awards, Federation Festival, Clavinova Festival, Sonatina Festival, St. Louis Arch Cup, and Sacred Music Festival. While participation is optional, it is highly encouraged for students to take advantage of these events.
